It's a directional people counter, so you see arrivals and departures separately, by the hour, with your peak times marked. Got more than one entrance? Every door counts on its own and rolls up into one figure for the site. It can work with suitable existing CCTV cameras, so door counting doesn't always need a new sensor at every entrance.

Occupancy is everyone in minus everyone out. DisplayPulse shows it against the limit you set, with green, amber and red thresholds and spaces remaining, so you can use it for occupancy monitoring, safe-capacity limits and queue triggers. Figures sync to the dashboard throughout the day, with a delay of up to about 15 minutes.

Each door counts entries, not unique people — someone in twice counts twice, which is exactly right for capacity. A single unique-visitor figure across a whole venue would mean recognising the same person from camera to camera — and that breaks the anonymous-by-design promise. So we don't offer it.

What is a door counter?
A door counter counts the people who walk through a doorway. DisplayPulse counts both directions, in and out, so you get footfall and occupancy from the same count line.
How does a doorway people counter work?
A camera at the entrance watches a count line. Each person crossing it is counted as in or out on the device itself. The image is thrown away and only the count leaves the device.
Can I count occupancy across several entrances?
Yes. Each door counts on its own and DisplayPulse adds them into one occupancy figure for the site. Each door counts entries, not unique people: someone who comes in twice counts twice, which is right for capacity.
Does a door counting system need new hardware?
Not always. DisplayPulse can run on your existing CCTV cameras or a compatible display.
Is it GDPR-friendly?
